Old friends

Guy I knew at university is in the middle of a horrible, really public family tragedy right now. I haven't thought of him in nearly 20 years, and we were never that close but it makes me sad. So kia kaha CWS.

Earthquakes

We just had one, and it wasn't very big, but it was scarier than usual. Nothing to do with this particular quake, more to do with recent events. You know - Samoa and Sumatra.
I really don't want to go that way.

Ping-pong catcher

I have just completed a chore that I have to do every few months. I have to move the TV cabinet away from the wall a few centimetres so that I can stick a ruler underneath it and flick out all the ping pong balls that have accumulated there.

It has me asking why on earth would you design a cabinet that has a gap underneath (only accessible from the rear) just big enough to catch ping-pong balls?

It is very annoying.
