Weather Rant
I am glad that I took the time to smell the grass clippings on Saturday, since the whole nice day/summer thing has been shot to hell.
We are now on our 18th day of rain during the month of December. The hill I live on was entirely enveloped in cloud this morning. On my way to work on a bus full of damp humanity admiring the complete lack of a view, I was thinking about how when I was a kid there was this animated series based on 'Heidi' that I watched pretty much every week. The title sequence had this great bit where she is up in the sky bouncing on clouds. That always really really appealed to me, I was 6 after all.
Now I do get to live in among the clouds, and it ain't no fun at all.
Admittedly these are not the clouds of my youth, real towering monster cauliflower clouds they were that really did look substantial enough to sit on. No this is nasty thin low lying cloud that just sort of seeps into everything, the special kind of 360 degree percipitation.
It is also cold, once again proving that this town pretty much has ONE season (moderately crappy), the only variety being the direction the gale is coming from.
It is good I suppose, it never freezes and it never broils and you get to wear the same wardrobe all year round.
No it is not good! No amount of positive thinking is going to make me ok with this!
