Cardies
I brought a new black cardy at the weekend, which means I now have 4. But let's face it, there is no real limit to the number one can happily own and the other 3 are starting to get somewhat scruffy. Anyway, it is a wrap around one and playing with the ties on the bus this morning, it got me thinking about ballet. See, I did ballet for a very brief period when I was 6 and my only regret at giving it up was that I never got one of those little pink cardigans that tie around your waist.
Rather a pointless ancedote, although I sometimes suspect that all ancedotes are inherently so, but then I haven't been doing much reading. Life, damn it, keeps getting in the way.
Well I did read a good book on the Hundred Years War and some interesting stuff in the PNAS special Evo-Devo issue. But what is there to say about either really? Well maybe, gosh and hummph (respectively).
And perhaps I should add that while I find neither evolutionary theory nor developmental biology exactly fascinating, some how evolutionary developmental biology is.
