Valueable lesson
Don't leave a full bottles of turtle wax on top of a washing machine in spin cycle, other wise - green goo everywhere. You'd think that was obvious, although apparently it is not.
I am still adjusting to the whole vastly improved lifestyle. I have discovered some downsides though.
I am deeply ensconsed in Suburbia here. 'Tis a way less cool place even if somewhat more practical and way flatter. I know this because I am just back from a walk around the neighbourhood. Well it is Sunday, but I watched a scary doumentary last week about why the nation is getting fatter which prompted me to take more exercise. It also made me make the stupid mistake of buying diet ginger beer. It tastes alright until you swallow, but then there is that nasty nutrasweet after-taste. I think I'll go back to the real stuff. It is not like I really drink that much of the stuff anyway.
The other major drawback of my lovely new house is that my Internet connection seems to have slooowed right down. So what with having lost all my bookmarks with the big crash, although it was frightening how many I could actually remember, I haven't read much of interest recently. Except of course on my current favourite site, Television without Pity. I went there to catch up on some episodes I missed with the big move and all, and have become rather hooked. Confessions of a Spoiler Whore is an interesting commentary on the phenomenon, ' the pleasures of participatory TV'. I don't go that far myself, but I do enjoy a bit of it.
