It occurs to me that I have been complaining a lot, and while given the state of the world that seems perfectly justified, it is a bit one sided.
So in an attempt to 'accentuate the positive', let's hear it for..

The good folks at Project Gutenberg.

Their's is a truly worthwhile and praiseworthy endeavor. And on a more personal level, a great boon to people feeling too lazy to go to the library. Especially if like me they actually prefer to read works who's authors have been dead over 50 years. Sure an e-text means reading at your computer, but that ain't such a bad thing. I spend too much of my life on the couch as it is. (In my defense that is partly because besides some fairly uncomfortable dining room chairs, it is the only piece of furniture in the lounge). So long may you continue to make the world a better place.
